Healing Testimonies

Testimony by Patrick Teo

Good Morning, my name is Patrick and I'm Hong Lim's brother. Pastor Lee has requested that I should say a few words, share my testimony about my experience from a heart attack.

I still remembered that it was a Friday, 2 Jan 2004 this year. I was no longer working since I have opted for early retirement. Sometime after 12 noon, I was not feeling well, having a cold sweat and feeling some numbness on my left arm. Praise the Lord that my wife Linda has the presence of mind to phone for an ambulance. Because on the way to the hospital, at the exit from the AYE outside NUH, I had my 1 st heart attack. Imagine that having a heart attack in an ambulance just outside NUH.

And, when I was in the A&E ward, my heart stopped 3 times and I was resuscitated a total of 8 times. Also, when the doctors wanted to perform a ballooning operation in one of my heart arteries, they found that I was bleeding internally somewhere. So they had to locate the source of the bleeding which was traced to a stomach ulcer. The doctors had to stop the bleeding first and thankfully it did. My medical condition then stabilized sufficiently for the doctors to carry out the heart ballooning operation.

All these things happened from that Friday to the following Monday and as later informed by my wife that a lot of people prayed for me during this period. From several members of immediate family, in-laws, friends, ex-working colleagues and as I understand, Hong Lim has also requested his church members to pray for me. For which I thank you for your prayers and to the Lord for saving my life.

Thank you very much.
