LIVING PASSIONATELY
We have come to a new year with new impetus to please the Lord. If you have not been able to take the Covenant Discipleship suggestions for spiritual study, formation and action in 2010, I would like to invite you to look for a cell group that is keen to keep covenant over these suggested actions. Try it out for a year with a cell or even just with one or two others. As you entrust yourselves to grow in deeper in your love for the Lord Jesus, you can be sure that His Holy Spirit will do a deep work in you when you covenant to be accountable to each other. If you like, you can register your covenant relationship with Pastor so that she can keep you in prayer while you commit yourselves to this form of discipleship for 2011 via email. In order to have these exercises at hand for action, evaluation and reflection, you will need to file these exercises so that you can remember to do them and check them after the period of practice is over (i.e. at the end of each fortnight) with your Covenant partners. I hope as Methodists we will put this Covenant Discipleship to good use for our own maturity in Christ. ~ Rev Tan-Yeo Lay Suan

CHARISIANS PRAYING
If you are interested in praying for one another through email, please sign up with Sin Lee at slyou@singtel.com.
CHARIS DIASPORA
Rev Tan-Yeo has started a yahoo-group for Charisians working or studying overseas through which she updates them on the events that have taken place in Charis MC. This is to enable Charisians to continue to stay in touch with the church and ease their re-entry into Charis when their stints overseas come to an end. We want to see them fitting in back into church without too much difficulty. Please let them know that they can write in to be a part of this yahoo-group by writing to the owner of CharisDiaspora@yahoogroups.com.
EZ-LIBRARY
In the hope that Charisians can benefit from members’ contribution as well as the church’s investment in Christian literature, we are bringing our much-neglected library nearer to you so that the books are now readily accessible. Selected library resources are now available in the shelf located in the Social Hall.
What’s more, the loan scheme has been relaxed to make borrowing absolutely hassle-free for you! There will be no restriction on the number of books you wish to loan (but don’t take the entire shelf) or on the loan period (hopefully it’s not eternity). Also, you do not have to register the loan. All you have to do is put the book back in the shelf after you’ve read it so that someone else can have access to it as well.
Do drop by the Social Hall after the worship service and visit the library. We hope this will become your favorite corner by and by!
DIALECT MINISTRY AT BETHANY NURSING HOME
On the 3rd Sunday (from 1.30pm) and the last Tuesday (from 2pm) of every month, Rev Tan-Yeo visits the Bethany Nursing Home and run a simple dialect service. If you speak Hokkien or Cantonese and would like to join Rev Tan-Yeo in this ministry, do sign up with her at tanyeo@charismc.org.sg. The service is about 45 minutes in total. But on the last Tuesday, Rev Tan-Yeo goes around to the bed-ridden to serve Holy Communion and will end about 4pm.

SUNDAY FLORAL OFFERING
We wish to acknowledge the frequent donations of Charis members for our Sunday Floral Offerings. These members often use this means of floral offering as an expression of thanksgiving to God in their lives. It has also been used in memory of loved ones, anniversary date etc. Their support and generosity have also greatly added to the ambience of our weekly Sunday Services.
We have put up a weekly schedule for floral offerings on the [Church Office] notice board for your convenience. Dates for floral offerings may be chosen in advance. Do also remember to include your name, purpose and contact number on this schedule.
Please contact the church office for enquiries.
SUNDAY REFRESHMENT OFFERING
If you have enjoyed the refreshment provided and would like to contribute to this item as a service to the congregation, or as an act of thanksgiving, celebration of birthday, anniversary, baby first month or for whatever reasons that you are celebratory about, please put your name down on the Sunday Refreshment Offering Form posted on the [Church Office] notice board.
Kindly forward your cheque/cash to Thor Bee. This is a purely voluntary offering and refreshment will continue to be provided every Sunday even if no donation is forthcoming. However your contribution is always much appreciated!
WS2 COMMUNION LUNCH
This monthly communion lunch is another avenue for Charisians to bless each other. You can do so by donating towards the cost of the lunch.
Indicate your donation on the WS2 Communion Lunch Offering form posted on the [WS2] notice board and state the reason that you wish to be printed in the Sunday bulletin as acknowledgement. Examples are: anniversary/ birthday celebration; thanksgiving; remembrance & etc.
For your donation, please use the church’s tithing envelope (placed at the pews), indicate “WS2 Communion Lunch Offering” and drop it into the offering bag or give it directly to the church office. Thank you for your blessings!
SKILL TRAINING AND CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUBSIDY
LCEC has approved a subsidy scheme to encourage members to upgrade their skills and Christian knowledge so as to serve God better. Application Form is available from the church office. Should you have any feedback on this scheme or any need for clarification, please speak to our Pastors or any LCEC members.
VOLUNTEERS FOR EMERGENCIES ON SUNDAYS
(DURING HOURS OF WORSHIP)

Please call church office (O: 63445750) with your full name and designation, and the service you attend.
