The Charis Vineyard League is the seniors’ ministry of Charis Methodist Church—a vibrant community where spiritual maturity is cultivated through fellowship, learning, service, and joy. Inspired by the metaphor of vintage wine, CVL seeks to nurture believers into lives of depth, grace, and enduring Christian character. Our programs described below are designed to engage the whole person—spirit, body, mind, and soul—through meaningful activities that foster growth, connection, and purpose.
CVL Book Studies
Held fortnightly via Zoom, these guided sessions invite participants into deeper spiritual reflection through the reading of devotional and theological books. Each study is accompanied by thoughtful discussion, prayer, and mutual encouragement. The aim is to sharpen our understanding of Scripture, deepen our walk with Christ, and cultivate a listening posture to God’s voice in our lives.

Charis Topical Talks

Harmony Ukulele Group (HUG)
More than just a music class, HUG is a joyful outreach initiative that brings people together through the simple pleasure of ukulele playing and singing. Weekly sessions include beginner-friendly instruction, group jamming, and informal fellowship over snacks. It’s a space where music becomes a bridge—connecting hearts, lifting spirits, and welcoming neighbors.

Healthy 365 @ Charis Exercise Group
In partnership with the Health Promotion Board (HPB), this weekly morning exercise program offers low-impact aerobic routines tailored for seniors. The sessions are designed to improve mobility, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being. After each workout, participants enjoy light refreshments and warm fellowship.

Charis Community Garden Group (CCGG)
CCGG is a hands-on ministry of creation care and environmental stewardship. Members gather to tend garden plots located at the back and side of the church, cultivating vegetables, herbs, and flowers. It’s a space for quiet reflection, shared labor, and appreciation of God’s creation.

Charis Healing Ministry
Operating fortnightly, the Healing Room is a sacred space where trained prayer ministers intercede for those experiencing emotional, spiritual, or physical struggles. The ministry also extends care through home visits to those unable to attend church, offering comfort, prayer, and presence.

Volunteering @ MWS–Charis ACE
CVL members play a vital role in supporting the Methodist Welfare Services (MWS) Charis ACE Centre. Volunteers offer friendship, conversation, and practical assistance to beneficiaries in the Geylang Bahru area. This ministry reflects Christ’s love through consistent presence and gentle service.

Amethyst Singing Group
